- Hello, my name is Mr. Fuentes. I was born in Merced, but raised in a small town named Le Grand. I attended Le Grand High School, and participated in their football program. I am currently attending Merced College. I plan to be in the nursing program at Merced College. I have been working under CTFF since Spring 2016, and been loving it since day one. I am running the weight training club in our after school program.
- Hello, my name is Ms. Gilmore. I'm from Los Angeles, but I grew up in San Bernardino. I was offered a full ride scholarship to University of California Merced and majored in Anthropology. My future goal is to become an international social worker for United Nations but I am focusing on reapplying to graduate school. I have been employed as a CTFF tutor for 26 days and I run two clubs, which includes Barista Club and Film Club.
- Hi! My name is Ms. Weston and I was born and raised in Merced, California, where I am currently finishing my last semester at UC Merced. After finishing school with my Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and Political Science, I plan on working towards receiving my PhD in Criminal Psychology, in hopes of working for the FBI as a Behavioral Analysist. I have worked for the Teaching Fellows Foudation for the past 2 years, where I now run the DIY Club at Buhach Colony High School. This club offers students the opportunity to express their creativity through making various, homemade crafts, such as stress balls, smartphone projectors, phone cases, and much more!
- Hi, my name is Mr. Gomez (or Mr. X), and I have been the Site Lead of Thunder Academy since October 2015. I am from Pittsburg, a small town in the Bay Area. I graduated high school in 2011 and went straight to UC Merced, where I graduated in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in Political Science and a minor in Writing. My plan is to enroll in the master's program for Composition/Rhetoric at CSU Stanislaus in the fall of 2017, in order to ultimately return to UC Merced to teach undergraduate writing courses.
- Hello, I'm Ms. Granados. Im originally from Mexico but I grew up and lived in Livingston since I was seven. I started my college career in Merced College and graduated in December 2014, with an associate's degree in Spanish and one in international studies. Right now, I am finishing with my last semester at CSU Stanislaus with my bachelor's degree in Spanish. In January I will begin the teaching credential program and there after I hope to begin my career in teaching Spanish at the high school level. I have been working for CTFF since August 2014, I currently run the cooking club and I am also the assistant in our Parent Literacy Program.
